In the East, all things are measured by the passage of the year, represented by the cycle of seasons. For humans, ten years form a decade and a decade constitutes a generation.

Throughout the changes of the times, influenced by various factors such as socio-economics, environment, and perspective, each generation develops a unique ideology. Clothing, as a product of societal needs and a significant manifestation of human consciousness, reveals indelible imprints left by fashion trends of different eras.

SEAN SUEN's 2024 Autumn/Winter collection reflects on the fashion development in the East, tracing back to the golden era of the older generation—a decade filled with exploration, rebellious spirit, and endless possibilities. It was the arrival of the new era, where Eastern and Western cultures rapidly interacted and converged. Diverse and aesthetic aspirations awakened in self-consciousness, leading people to crave art, embrace art, and recreate art. Fashion, in its highly diffusive form, carried unprecedented freshness and strength, flourishing in this era.

Sean Suen pays homage to the classics of his time, reinterpreting and presenting iconic fashion pieces like wool suits, oversized coats, and handmade knits. Vibrant colors and elaborate men's accessories clash with the steady and plain "black, gray, brown, green" color tones. Through the deconstruction and juxtaposition of fashion structures, along with strong contrasts in tones and hues, the collection resonates with the urgent, rebellious, and non-conformist spirit of that generation, contemplating the inseparable connection between human consciousness and the evolution of eras.
